About Our Organization
Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) is a form of breast cancer that lacks three “receptors” that are known to fuel most breast cancers (estrogen receptors, progesterone receptors, & human epidural growth factor receptor 2), thus the term “triple negative.” Depending on the stage at diagnosis, this can be a very aggressive form of cancer.
Daphne’s Legacy, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded in March 2014 in memory of Daphne LaRae Scruggs Fields. Daphne was diagnosed in October 2011 at the age of 32 with TNBC and succumbed to the disease 2 years later in October 2013. Her family formed this organization to raise awareness of this disease and to generate funds that go directly to the research of TNBC.

How to Donate
Daphne’s Legacy, Inc. accepts monetary donations throughout the year. Further, sponsorships are utilized for events, such as concerts, silent auctions, golf scrambles, and 5k races, so the organization can donate the maximum amount possible to the research of TNBC. This is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, which means your donation is tax deductible in accordance with applicable laws.
